Vaccine hesitance and inaccessibility are still a real challenge in Oregon

In July and August of 2021, CPOP teamed up with staff from the CDC, local health authorities, and POF community partners to conduct a large-scale Rapid Community Assessment (RCA) in Umatilla and Morrow counties. The goal of the project was to collect data related to vaccine hesitancy among farm and food processing workers in the two counties. Over 500 workers and community leaders responded to the survey.

The data collected gave OHA, the CDC, and local health authorities critical insight on how to reach underserved workers with vaccine information and ultimately how to improve delivery of vaccines to these communities.
